UC Davis investigating professor over alleged social media posts about Israel–Hamas war – The UC Davis chancellor is condemning social media posts allegedly made by a faculty member about the Israel–Hamas war. The post made to X allegedly called for violence toward some in the Jewish community in the U.S. as the conflict grows. In a statement, the university says it rejects all forms of violence and discrimination. The post was allegedly made by Jemma Decristo, an American Studies assistant professor. The social media account has since been turned to private and Decristo’s faculty biography has been removed from UC Davis’ website.

Fairfield mayor has an offer for the billionaires trying to build new city – Fairfield Mayor Catherine Moy is willing to partner with Flannery Associates as they try to create a new city, California Forever, in Solano County. It's a big announcement in multiple ways. First, Fairfield is looking into redevelopment options but the mayor is also giving them an opportunity to prove their commitment to the community. Moy is proposing a partnership between the city of Fairfield and Flannery Associates. The company is trying to build a new city on 52,000-plus acres of farmland in Solano County.

'Fairytale Town' getting $2.5 million welcome center in 2024 –Fairytale Town is set to open a new Welcome Center in April 2024 designed for new playset attractions and cultural heritage recognition, city officials said. First opened in 1959, the 3.5-acre kids' storybook theme park in William Land Park has been a staple for family fun in the community for decades. The $2.5 million construction project also means visitors are advised to use the express gate entrance instead of the usual Humpty Entrance. But fear not, there are plenty of other fairytale characters to greet you at the park.
