Sutter County teacher arrested for DUI while teaching class – A teacher was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other charges while teaching a second-grade class Monday, according to the Sutter County Sheriff's Office. Deputies got reports around 8:20 a.m. of a staff member being under the influence of alcohol or drugs at Nuestro Elementary School near Live Oak. Upon arrival, deputies found Wendy Munson teaching her second-grade class. It was later discovered her blood alcohol content was 2x the legal limit, according to the Sutter County Sheriff's Office. 'If you call the cops, you are dead': Man recounts confrontation with suspect in Stanislaus Co. crime spree – A Stanislaus County man is thankful a suspected gunman did not hurt him or his family during a crime spree which took place last month in west Stanislaus County. The sheriff’s office says 43-year-old Jason Benson Dingler was behind the crime spree which included a break in, carjacking, a robbery, a high-speed chase and shooting at deputies. 3 women killed in suspected DUI crash in Modesto identified – The three women killed in a suspected DUI crash along Highway 132 in Modesto have been identified by authorities. The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office confirmed their identities as Marianne Clemons, 67 of Patterson; Pamela Cross, 64 of Modesto; and Rosa Clavel, 44 of Modesto. Clemons and Cross were identified as the sisters. The crash happened Sept. 28 along Highway 132, near Gates Road. This week, FEMA will conduct a nationwide test of its emergency notification systems. The test is expected to occur Wednesday, Oct. 4, between 11:20-11:50 a.m. All cellphones will receive the message only once.
