Daylight saving time set to begin on November 5th
When I first moved to the U.S. in the September of 2008, daylight saving time was a delightful revelation.
The addition of a whole extra hour in November was a like a godsend for a university student juggling multiple journalism courses.
Every November, I promise myself that I'll use this as a chance to start waking up earlier. Here's hoping it becomes a lasting habit this year.
Daylight saving time aims to make better use of daylight and conserve energy by aligning waking hours more closely with natural light, allowing people to make the most of longer evenings.
The practice has been called into question in recent years. Do you think it should continue?
