Here are some fall festivals to enjoy in Pearland, Houston suburbs as the weather cools down.
My fiance thinks it's crazy that I'm enjoying the 90-degree weather this week because his Midwestern mind doesn't understand the struggles of triple-digit heat -- just like we aren't used to snow.
I'll take what I can get. The weather is finally cooling down, and I can actually step outside without breaking a sweat within two seconds.
I love that we are finally getting into fall weather because that means pumpkin patches, "spooky season" and festivals.
The Houston suburbs are packed with festivals, including Pearland Market Days, a vendor event that will begin Oct. 1. If you're looking for an adventure outside of Pearland, the Texas Renaissance Festival is one of my favorites.
In high school, my theatre teacher used to plan yearly trips for us to drive to the festival. My theatre friends and I would dress up in costumes on the bus on the way. We'd watch the jousting matches while munching on some funnel cakes and drinking lemonade before making our way to the "enchanted" forest.
What's your favorite fall activity? Let me know.
