A guide to Grogan's Mill, The Woodlands' oldest village.

I wanted to live in the heart of the area I cover when I moved to The Woodlands, and Grogan's Mill seemed like an easy choice.

To many locals, including 40-year resident and realtor Vicki Fullerton, The Woodlands' oldest village is often seen as one that sticks closest to George Mitchell's original vision.

The village is centrally located, full of natural surroundings and home to some of the township's longest-standing businesses. But with aging homes and a vacant village center set to become a new library and community center, it's also at the precipice of change.

Read the full guide here.

I'll be doing a guide to each village in The Woodlands over the next few months. What village should I cover next, and what should people know about it? Let me know at claire.partain@houstonchronicle.com.
