A group of Needville 12-year-olds will soon take the field at the Little League World Series U.S. Championship in Williamsport, PA. A win would make the preteens the fifth championship team in Texas history and the first Houston-area team to win since 2000. Tune in on CBS at 2:30 p.m.

HISD parents, teachers 'blindsided' after principals removed from 2 campuses days before school starts

Erin Trent, the principal at Stevens Elementary in northwest Houston, and Linda Bellard, principal at Garcia Elementary in Eastex/Jensen, were both reassigned to other positions in the district, according to an HISD spokesman.
