Officials investigate unmarked fire engine in Sacramento – The Sacramento Fire Department is asking folks to report sightings of an unmarked fire engine driving around Sacramento. The fire engine was spotted on Alhambra Boulevard and W Street. Officials say it is "flowing water" at various places throughout the city. Sac Fire says the engine is not theirs. Officials are asking anyone with information or spotting's to report it to the Sacramento Police Department for further investigation. County supervisors approve millions of dollars in improvements for the Stockton Airport – Deteriorating pavement and a nearly 60-year-old terminal building will soon be replaced at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport after San Joaquin County supervisors approved millions of dollars in funding for new projects. During its Tuesday meeting, the board approved $117,000 for the airport to study three alternatives to updating its air carrier terminal building and allocating $2.5 million in FAA grants to repair its cargo taxilane. 2 dead from West Nile Virus in Sacramento region, health officials say – Two people have died from West Nile Virus in the Sacramento Region, prompting health officials to encourage folks to take more precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. One person who died in Sacramento County was in their 70's and "had underlying chronic disease, and had been hospitalized with neuroinvasive West Nile Virus," according to health officials. The other person died in Yolo County but not much other information is known. This is the first death from West Nile Virus since 2018. In both cases, the individuals were infected and began experiencing neurological symptoms. BEAR CROSSINGCalifornia Highway Patrol Officer Ruth Loehr is based in South Lake Tahoe and she's seen it all from bears to deer, even porcupines. She says the Tahoe Basin is a busy wildlife area, which increases the chances of seeing and unfortunately hitting an animal.
