Investigation launched after dead body found in moving truck in Rio Linda – An investigation is underway in Rio Linda after a dead body was found in a U-Haul van. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office Office originally described the death as suspicious and as of Monday ruled it a homicide investigation. The initial call was related to parking enforcement for an out-of-place vehicle, but after deputies ran the license plate, it came back as stolen. When authorities did a vehicle recovery, they found a corpse in the back of the van.
