Investigation launched after dead body found in moving truck in Rio Linda – An investigation is underway in Rio Linda after a dead body was found in a U-Haul van. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office Office originally described the death as suspicious and as of Monday ruled it a homicide investigation. The initial call was related to parking enforcement for an out-of-place vehicle, but after deputies ran the license plate, it came back as stolen. When authorities did a vehicle recovery, they found a corpse in the back of the van. Suspect in food truck robbery robbed in South Sacramento – The suspect in a food truck robbery was jumped by people who ended up robbing him, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies responded to the reported robbery at Stockton Boulevard and Lindale Drive around 6:15 p.m. Sgt.
