Financial relief: Qualifying families may get $30 off monthly internet bills, $100 off laptop.

The federal government's Affordable Connectivity Program is offering families who meet income requirements a $30 monthly discount on their internet bills, along with a one-time $100 discount applicable to laptops and tablets.

Families with children enrolled in free or reduced school breakfasts and lunches, along with those whose schools are designated as Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) campuses, where all students enjoy free meals, are eligible for the offered discounts.

Likewise, families with at least one household member participating in federal assistance programs like SNAP, SSI, or WIC, are also eligible.
