It's fall festival season. Here's your guide to the fun across Houston suburbs.

With Houston's scorching summer coming to an end, it's almost time to get outside for fall festival season. With some of the biggest festivals kicking off in north Houston next month, this list could help you plan your fall calendar. 

That includes the nearby Texas Renaissance Festival, which recently announced that its advance tickets will be discounted ahead of opening weekend.

 Opening weekend tickets prices for ages 13 and up starts at $17 for Saturday and $12 for Sunday. For the remainder of the festival season, which runs through Nov. 26, regular ticket prices range from $20-$35.

Openings and closings

Tandoori Hut plans to open a new 4,565 square feet location in Cypress Village Station this fall. Tandoori Hut, which has one other Houston-area location, offers a menu with a variety of Indian dishes.

Shout out to Andrew Ho, Sean Wen and Andrew Samia -- the three Cypress-bred owners of Curry Boys BBQ for expanding their footprint in Texas. The restaurant has become a San Antonio barbecue staple with a massive Texas following.
