In college football, 2022 was the year of the Horned Frog. TCU hopes it carries over to the first weeks of 2023. TCU showed it was no fluke with its 51-45 win over Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl to reach the College Football Playoff title game against Georgia on Jan. 9 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The top-seeded Bulldogs held on to beat Ohio State in the other semifinal in the Peach Bowl. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud put on quite a show in a losing effort that has to make him legitimate candidate to be the top pick in the NFL draft. The Texans currently have the worst record in the NFL and would get that pick. But they aren't thinking about that, or so they say. Instead they are focused on beating the Jaguars for a 10th straight time. A look at the key questions heading into Sunday's game at NRG. In college basketball, UH and Texas each won close games. The Cougars' win over Central Florida was an AAC game but also gave hints of a future Big 12 rivalry when schools move next year. The Longhorns held on to a tense win in Norman over the Sooners.
