The Rockets found themselves in position to end their home skid Monday. Alas, they once again struggled to close out a game as the Mavericks and superstar Luka Doncic overcame a double-digit deficit during the second half as Houston suffered its seventh straight home loss. As arguably the most anticipated game of the NFL regular season was minutes old Monday night in Cincinnati, football promptly became an afterthought after a frightening scene in which Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and was taken to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition. That prompted the NFL to postpone the game indefinitely as Hamlin's health became the sole concern. Sunday brought arguably the Texans' most painful game of the season, and their most lopsided loss.
