| 3 people found dead after New Year’s storms in Sacramento County identified – The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the three people found dead after New Year’s weekend storms as: Steven Sampson, 45, from McAlester, Oklahoma, Mei Keng Lam, 57, of San Leandro and Katherine Martinez, 61, of Orland. Other counties have also reported storm-related deaths throughout the week, including one in Solano County and one in Sonoma County. Spinelli Elementary student found after leaving school undetected – An elementary school student was found safe Wednesday afternoon after wandering away from the school undetected. According to a news release from the Center Joint Unified School District, it happened at Spinelli Elementary in Antelope.
Man wanted after 'violent incident' in El Dorado County found dead – According to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, a man’s body was pulled from the South Fork of the American River Wednesday after recent floods. The man was identified as 33-year-old Bruce Gordon, who was wanted for a violent December attack that left two injured.
