| With the beginning of the UIL playoffs just one week away, the top teams are riding long winning streaks and wrapping up district championships. Here's a look at the top three teams in this week's Houston high school volleyball power rankings. 1. Tompkins | Previous rank: 1. The Falcons (35-3, 15-0) have won 15 consecutive matches and swept four straight district opponents. The outright District 19-6A champions will try to close out an undefeated run in league action with a home match against Paetow on Tuesday. 2. Cypress Ranch | Previous rank: 2. The Mustangs (40-2, 13-0) have piled up 24 consecutive victories and will look to close out an undefeated run through District 16-6A on Tuesday with a home match against Cypress Falls. Cypress Ranch has won 37 straight district matches dating back to 2020. 3. Bridgeland | Previous rank: 3. The Bears (36-8, 11-2) will finish as the District 16-6A runners-up for the second straight year after picking up sweeps against Cypress Woods and Cypress Lakes last week.
