The winning numbers drawn Monday night were 12, 22, 54, 66 and 69. The Powerball was 15. Thanks to nearly four months of futility and final ticket sales, the Powerball jackpot climbed to $699.8 million, making it the seventh largest in U.S. lottery history and fifth largest in Powerball history. No one had won the game's grand prize since June 5. This was the first jackpot won on a Monday night since Aug. 23, when the game launched a third weekly drawing, officials said. (Associated Press) Removed from homeless camp by Caltrans, unhoused community ask "where do we go?" – Caltrans placed notices outside of each tent along 29th Street in Midtown telling people that they have 72 hours to pack up their things and leave. However, many say they have nowhere to go as nearby shelters and Safe Ground camping areas have filled up. Jason Sloan knows a thing or two about moving. He's been experiencing homelessness for about four years now, and has lately been calling 29th Street near H and F streets his home. After getting this notice to vacate from Caltrans, he still doesn't know where to move his things to. "Where do we go?" he said. "I don't know where we're supposed to go, you know? We move from block to block and every block they say, 'can't be here, can't be here, can't be here,' so I don't know what they want us to do." Caltrans said they identified this encampment as a priority for removal because due to hazards of what they're calling an excessive amount of trash and debris. They said it includes both human waste and used needles. Newsom signed on Monday will create a committee within the Department of Public Health to review maternal deaths throughout the state. Supporters said the bill is designed to improve health for new mothers and infants – particularly for families of color. “Women who have better care and more support during pregnancy have better outcomes,” Kenya Fagbemi, program director at HER Health First in Sacramento, said.
