What's going on with the YA's?

What's New

Hi, I'm Leif Green!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Leif Green and I am the new Interim CEO of The Young Americans. Although I am new to my position at The Young Americans, I am not new to the organization. I was a New Kid 1978.

After my time with the group, I spent the following 5 years working as a professional actor. Immediately after, I  spent sometime working in non-profits and event organizing. I then moved into animation production, working with companies like Disney and Warner Brothers.
Fun Facts About Me
Was in the very 1st cast of Boyne Highlands Dinner Theatre
Worked as a professional actor for 5 years
Helped fundraise and organize for the AIDS Walk Organization
So much has happened in the last few months for The Young Americans and the Performing Arts College. Here are a few updates I would like to share with you.

What's worse than having to sing with a mask on? Not singing at all!
When Michael Behrmann, Superintendent of Harbor Springs Public Schools, contacted us about doing the Young Americans Performing Arts Summer Camp following the CDC Covid guideline for summer camp safety, we said "WE WILL BE THERE!" With more than 400 students from Northern Michigan filling the Performing Arts Center with music, dancing, and unflappable joy, the four-week program was a smashing success.
We want to send a special thank you to The John Demmer & Susie Johnson Endowment for making the camps possible this summer. To see all of our supporters from Northern Michigan and to learn more about our summer camps, please click the button below.
