'My heart is broken' | Sacramento family pleads for help finding missing 16-year-old girl – 16-year-old Tymeah James, of Sacramento, went missing on Friday afternoon. While her disappearance was not considered at-risk by the Sacramento Police Department, her family believed the teen's case was not getting enough attention from police and news outlets. "My nerves are bad. My heart is broken," said Yolanda Holmes, James' mother. Holme’s said her daughter was last seen at Hiram Johnson High School. When a family member went to pick James up from cheerleading practice, she wasn’t there. She and her family said they wanted more media and police attention on her daughter and her disappearance. (Barbara Bingley, ABC10) Wildfire victims, prosecutors want tougher criminal penalties for PG&E – On Monday morning, the kids at Igo Ono Elementary School clung strings holding purple balloons in honor of their classmate Feyla McLeod, 8, who died on this day a year ago. One by one, each child shared a personal memory of Feyla and then released their balloon. That same morning, the company accused of causing Feyla’s death in last year’s Zogg Fire made a release of its own. "The Utility intends to vigorously defend itself,” PG&E wrote Monday in a regulatory filing disclosing to investors that Shasta County prosecutors filed 31 criminal charges against the company, including four counts of felony involuntary manslaughter. Sacramento County health officials are urging people to get the shot to protect themselves against the flu. Covid-19 vaccines are also available. The clinics are scheduled to be open a few hours a day at various Sacramento County locations through Nov. 12. The free clinics do not require appointments. Walk-ins are accepted.
