In the video, Elder is seen walking through a homeless encampment in the Venice area of Los Angeles amid an angry crowd when an egg is thrown at him and his team. The egg goes by his head but doesn't appear to hit anyone. Elder, a conservative radio talk show host, is one of dozens of candidates running in California's recall election to replace Governor Gavin Newsom. He is considered to be the leader among the pro-recall candidates. (Eric Escalante, ABC10) 15 positive cases identified as COVID-19 spreads through Yolo County jail – Despite implementing COVID-19 protocols, the virus has now spread to the inmate population, according to the Yolo County Sheriff's Office. On Sept. 7, an inmate became sick and tested positive for COVID-19. After contract tracing was done, 14 additional positive cases were found. Per standard protocol, the fifteen COVID-19 positive inmates were placed in isolation to be monitored and treated. Additional testing will be done every three days over the next two weeks. Other students are working on a short-term independent study for the first 15 days of school until they can be transitioned to a long-term program, a district official familiar with the program said.
