Uninformed drivers are in for a rude awakening in southwest Houston this weekend.

The Texas Department of Transportation will close both the northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 59 at West Loop 610 all weekend to continue work on a pair of ramps connecting the freeways. The closure will last between 9 p.m. Friday and early Monday morning, according to the department.
