A little more than two weeks after being named the Houston Dynamo's CEO, Jamey Rootes is stepping down due to what the club cites as "personal reasons."
Rootes had spent two decades with the Houston Texans, working his way up to team president before resigning in February. Four months later, he took the job as the Dynamo CEO when the franchise's new owner had his introductory press conference June 22.
