Dixie Fire grows to be one of the largest fires in California's history – The Dixie Fire has grown to 197,487 acres placing it as one of the 15 largest fires in the state's history; fire officials suspect it could continue growing and be one of the top 10 largest fires this week. Multiple fires continue to burn throughout California, and more fire-danger weather could be on the way with a heatwave and more thunderstorms forecasted for the end of July. 'She didn’t deserve what happened to her' | Suspected arrested in killing of Sacramento woman – A woman was found dead in her home off South Land Park Drive in the Pocket neighborhood. Her boyfriend described her as a doting mother to her 17-year-old son. Sacramento Police said they had arrested a 17-year-old male, the suspect in the killing of Mary Tessama, 54. Low water levels threaten to shut down hydroelectric plant near Lake Oroville – The Hyatt Power Plant can't generate electricity once Lake Oroville's water levels fall below 630 to 640 feet. They are currently at 655 feet as of the latest readings. This would be the first time the water levels could drop low enough to affect the Hyatt Power Plant. The Department of Water Resources said it is trying to mitigate issues that could arise should the water levels remain low. (Joseph Daniels, ABC10)
