The button to do so is missing from the UI Online website. The EDD said in a Tweet, that the issue is blocking about 178,000 people from reapplying for their benefits and getting their money. EDD said it is only affecting people who have reached the end of their benefit year and need to submit a new claim. EDD said it is making changes to fix the problem and people should be able to reapply on Friday. EDD said people who are affected by the missing button should have been notified by email and text messages. If you received a message from EDD, their advice is to check back on Friday.
