Hiking apps never used to feature in my outdoor adventures, but times have changed. Now, every Ordnance Survey map comes with a digital version available to download onto my smartphone or tablet.

Happiest countries in the world 2021 – ranked

The happiest countries in the world of 2018 have been ranked in the latest World Happiness Report. This year, Finland has snatched the title knocking Norway into second.

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative for the United Nations, has published this year's World Happiness Report. The SDSN employs an international group of economists, neuroscientists and statisticians to survey citizens on their subjective wellbeing and produce a comprehensive annual list of the happiest countries in the world.

Highlander Adventure treks: 15 unique trails to explore

The Highlander Adventure treks have expanded with a number of exciting trails added to the collection. We take a look at the 2021 calendar.

In 2020, I joined my first Highlander Adventure trek, the Highlander Velebit in Croatia. This year, as a fully-fledged Highlander ambassador, I'm planning to join two more treks – pandemic permitting, of course – in Spain and North Macedonia.
