Hey ConvenienceBigs, Welcome to 2021 We made it through 2020! I am excited for the new year and the potential to travel and hug strangers again! Normally, I send this email out in the middle of the month but, starting this year, I'll be sending it out on the 1st of the month.
Since I just sent out an email a couple of weeks ago, I don't have any books to recommend to you right now. I'll send a huge list in Feb.
But be sure to check out this page with all my favorites on Bookshop. We recently switched to a website called Bookshop. It's not as cheap as Amazon but the money helps small, independent bookstores rather than Amazon. If you're in the US and UK, buy from them! (But, if you only use Kindle, here's the Amazon link.)
REMINDER: THIS MONTH'S VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB! Every month, we host a virtual book club where the author discusses their book and takes your questions.
And that's what I wanted to talk about this month.
This month, we're discussing Looking for Transwonderland by Noo Saro-Wiwa. It was the best travel book I read last year and, next week, on January 6th, we'll be talking to Noo about her book.
In the book, Noo returns to her homeland of Nigeria to learn about her heritage. With vivid descriptions, engaging prose, and wonderful dialogue, it's hands down a must-read.
Click here to sign up for our talk next week! Noo will be answering your questions!
*** Until next month, happy reading! Best, Nomadic Matt P.S. - If you want to get a jump start on Feb's book club, here are the details. | | | | |
