Nomadic Matt's Tuesday Travel Tips

Hey ConvenienceBigs,

How are you? Down here in Texas, we're starting to open back up. My coworking space is open, restaurants and bars will move to 50% capacity next week, and we can all get our haircut again!

While I have my own thoughts on the speed in which places are reopening, I have to admit: it's a little nice to have some sense of normalcy. I worked from my coworking space (I was the only one there) and, tomorrow, I finally see my allergist again (Why did I move to such a pollen-heavy state again?).

Most people in Austin are practicing social distancing and wearing masks so I hope that people's hyper-awareness of the virus means we can avoid a large second wave.

Because, like you, I'm eager to get back outside and around people.

I mean I'm not even a hugger but even I can't wait to hug another human again!

Fingers crossed we don't have to wait much longer.

Since we still don't know what the future holds for travel, I just published a post on how you can travel the world virtually. It has a list of suggested books, movies, TV shows, online classes, and destinations and museums that are doing virtual tours.

We may not be able to go out into the world but, at least, technology brings it into our homes!

P.S. - We're still trying to figure out this new newsletter format. Let me know what you'd like to see here. Travel deals? News? More articles? Reader profiles? Pics of my plants? Help!
