How's it going? Last week, I donated my plasma for COVID-19 research.
After having the virus and being symptom-free for 28 days, I was allowed to donate my anti-body filled plasma to try and help those who are really sick. (Fingers crossed it helps!)
It was my first time donating plasma and, other than taking a long time, it was really easy. I listened to a podcast and started planning a "short road trip" (which ended up being 3 1/2 months long so I'll need to work on that! lol)
As the summer travel planning season begins, one of the questions I'm getting a lot lately is "when do you think we'll be able to travel again?"
Honestly, I have no idea. No one does.
Some countries are talking about opening up in late summer.
A few Caribbean islands are eyeing next month. The EU tourism minister says "no way" to a summer travel season.
I don't think we'll have a clear picture until June.
So my advice:
I don't think anything that involves an international flight is likely to happen until August at the earliest. There might be some exceptions to this but, generally, I think it's very unlikely. I wouldn't consider booking anything before September.
And, if you do book something sooner, make sure it offers free cancellation just to be safe!!
