Nomadic Matt's New Travel Tuesday Newsletter

Hey ConvenienceBigs,

Welcome to our new travel newsletter! Starting today, I'm changing the format of this newsletter. Moving forward, it will go out every Tuesday ("Travel Tips Tuesday" has a nice ring to it!) and it's going to be shorter.

There's a lot of moving parts to our website and, to make sure I don't just dump everything into one giant newsletter, I'm moving this to a weekly thing in an effort to make it shorter and be more conscious of your time.

Moving forward, I'll also share more travel deals and stories/news articles I've enjoyed in an effort to make this a bit more well-rounded.

I don't have any big reflections or news this week. I've been doing a lot of writing (two really good posts are coming next week) and I even started planning my next book. I'm having a lot of cooking fails but I'm slowly learning to be a better cook. And I've been reading a lot more (current favorite read: The Yellow Envelope by Kim Dinan).

It's been nice to get way ahead on work, develop a few new routines, and catch up on reading. Honestly, while I've gone stir crazy a few times, I've mostly enjoyed this chance at a reset.

But I'll talk more about that next week! For now, here's what's going on:

ON OUR PATREON

Last month, we launched a new community initiative on Patreon.
Members get stories I've never shared before, live Q&As with the team and I (pictured above in Paris), free ebooks and guides, postcards from my travels, a private Facebook group, signed copies of my books, and one-on-one planning calls! This week we'll be posting another story and will be doing a special Q&A too! If you're interested in becoming a patron, click here to learn more!

NEW POSTS

In Defense of Las Vegas and Other Maligned Destinations

There are many destinations plagued by negative (and often incorrect) stereotypes. In this post, I examine the media stereotypes that often shape our views on destinations.

How to Teach English Abroad

If you've ever thought about teaching English overseas, I put all our teaching resources together on this new hub page to help you make that dream happen easier!
