11 ways to save money on travel in 2020 (Plus, even more meet-ups!)

ConvenienceBigs,

When you are starved for time and money, travel can seem like a pipe dream.

Luckily, in recent years, there's been a wave of positive developments that have made travel cheaper: the rise of international budget airlines, new deal-finding websites, more rewarding travel credit cards, free walking tours in more cities, and tons of opportunities to bypass the traditional travel infrastructure and connect directly with locals via the sharing economy.

But, the more I talk to people at our community events, the more I realize just how many resources are out there that people don't know about.

And when it comes to budget travel, knowledge is power.

So, as we get deeper into 2020, I want to share some suggestions on how to travel on a budget this year so you can make your New Year's resolution to travel more a reality.

Because there are always travel deals happening.

Computer algorithms control travel pricing now, with flight prices changing as often as 35 times a day! Hotel prices are starting to use AI for dynamic pricing too. Tours don't want to leave half full which means they're willing to cut deals as well.

There's such a fire hose of information online now that I think many people just simply don't know where to start or are unsure which information is correct.

So, to help you cut through the noise, we've collected our best tips and resources to help you travel on a budget in 2020.

With a little information and some flexibility, you can always find a deal, save money, and travel more this year!
