ConvenienceBigs,
Over the past couple of weeks, I've told you about how to create and level up your blog.
You joined this email newsletter to get blogging tips because you probably have a blog or are curious about starting one.
Well, sadly, this is the last email in my free email series.
As we come to the end, I want you to think about one thing: fear.
As I've gotten to talk to many of you, I've realized the fear of failure is more widespread than I thought.
Most of the concerns people had about blogging involved time, money, technical ability, and wondering if anyone would read their blog.
Those are all very valid concerns and fears. I've seen many people struggle with these same fears over the years.
When I started my blog, I struggled with them too.
Most bloggers fail because they give up (or never even start). They give in to their fears and worries. Most bloggers expect great riches and fame right away, and when it doesn't happen, they blame "the system" and throw up their hands and give up.
Instead of saying "What can I do today that will make me better?" they say "Well, I'm never going to run a marathon so why even run down the street?"
When you start at the bottom, everything feels like a mountain — but if you focus on just moving one step forward each day, pretty soon you'll find yourself at the top of the mountain.
Whenever I go to conferences, I see huge turnover. Every year, half the attendees have given up and there's a new crop out there. It used to surprise me, but now, understanding the psychology of people better, it doesn't.
It's easy to hesitate, to get overwhelmed, or be unsure of yourself.
I've never met a blogger who wasn't — and still isn't — worried about failure.
I constantly stress about it. Will people read this blog? Will that conference turn out to be a success? Why does my to do list never seem to get smaller?
Those stresses and worries keep many people from even trying in the first place.
It keeps many people from pushing through the hard times.
But what's worse: to try and fail, or to never even start at all?
I know there is a lot of free information on the web. Tons actually. But how do you sift through the websites and advice? How do you know what information to trust? How do you find the information that actually works? How do you save time and stop yourself from heading down the rabbit holes of endless information overload?
I read tons of information on business and marketing, but sometimes even I buy courses to help me learn what I want to learn. Why? Because without direction, without someone to help make sense of it all, I'll just end up running in circles.
Whether or not you end up in our course, remember that the only way to improve is to keep learning. The only way you'll succeed is by keeping an eye on the big picture. To understand that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
To know that with every step forward, you get one step closer to the top!
At some point, you'll need to invest in yourself and your blog. No one gets to the top without a guide. I've been here long enough to know that this is a universal truth.
I would love the chance to be your guide and to share my knowledge with you.
Remember, I'm offering a 50% off code to incentivize you to take the leap, join our course, and let me help you get more readers, rank higher, and grow your website faster. Just use the code 50off and save!
But, if I don't see you in class, I wish you good luck with your blog and hope we'll run into each other somewhere in the world!
Best,
Nomadic Matt
