Like you, I love taking pictures.
I love the feeling I get when I find that perfect moment and am able to freeze it forever.
It's indescribable.
Photos are memories that take us back to a moment in our life that was so special we had to preserve it forever. Pictures aren't something you just take with your phone — they are moments that moved you.
I've been a blogger for a long time...since 2008 to be exact. Over the course of that time, I've grown my website, Nomadic Matt, into the largest travel blog on the web with over 1 million monthly visitors!
As a writer, I've always found words easier than pictures. The photos on my website were always lacking.....quality.
In short, they sucked.
I loved the idea of being able to take good pictures but I never wanted to spend a lot of money on gear nor felt I had the time to take a photography class.
But, at a conference in Spain, I met Laurence Norah of Finding the Universe. Laurence is an award winning photographer whose work has happened in National Geographic, BBC, Lonely Planet, and a bunch of other places.
Hearing my plight, he gave me a couple of tips that forever changed how I took pictures. I immediately saw and increase in the quality of my photos.
Since then, Laurence and I have worked together on helping others improve their photography. He writes for my site and we've even collaborated on an in-depth photography course.
Over the next few weeks, he's going to be sending you a ton of FREE advice on how to take better photos — no matter what your skill level or type of camera.
Tomorrow, class begins!
- Matt
P.S. - If you're really looking to get into photography, I worked with Laurence to create a very in-depth, hands-on photography course (he even provides feedback on your pictures). It will help you get out of auto and master your camera - no matter what camera that may be! You can learn more about it by clicking here. You can get 10% off with the code "10off" when you check out too! :)
