Grand Oaks senior Samara Coleman leads the way for All-Greater Houston volleyball awards

Happy Monday, and happy new year!

Following the UIL football state championships right before Christmas, the calendar has flipped. It signals a new semester and a new chapter of high school sports in Houston and across the state of Texas.

But we cannot move on to all the exciting happenings ahead on the calendar without first ackowledging the top performers from the fall.

That being said, here we present the All-Greater Houston volleyball teams and awards.

The honors are led by Grand Oaks senior Samara Coleman, the Chronicle's Player of the Year for the 2024 season. Coleman helped lead the Grizzlies to their second consecutive state championship to culminate another dominant campaign.

Read more about Coleman and see the rest of the awards and All-Greater Houston teams.

More than 20 schools are represented between the UIL and private school honors.
