Who are Harris County residents donating to this election?

Harris County residents appear to favor Congressional candidates outside of Texas over those who may actually represent them in the House and Senate, according to federal data.

Tugboats move into position as Battleship Texas is removed from a drydock on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in Galveston. After 18 months of hull restoration, the ship is ready to re-enter the water. Further restoration will continue at a nearby dock as part of a $70 million rehab of the historic battleship. Texas is the only remaining dreadnought battleship above water.

The historic ship, with new steel, is back in the water after 18 months in a Galveston drydock, but much work remains before visitors can walk aboard.

After Hervis Rogers waited six hours to vote in 2020, he was prosecuted by the state for casting his ballot. He said he won't vote again.

Houston area resident wins $2 million Powerball prize

According to the Texas Lottery, a Tomball resident claimed the $2 million-dollar prize for the Dec. 30 Powerball drawing.
