AG Ken Paxton stops fight against whistleblower suit that launched impeachment

Attorney General Ken Paxton on Thursday announced his agency will stop fighting a whistleblower lawsuit, effectively paving the way for a judge to award millions of dollars in damages to former aides who say he fired them in retaliation for reporting him to the FBI for alleged corruption.
