Friendswood developer to break ground on 106-acre complex
Tannos Development is expecting to break ground on the $710 million, 106-acre Friendswood City Center next year. The mixed-use complex will include a hotel, waterfront public park, apartment, retail spaces and offices.
Tannos plans to reduce flood risk with the development along Clear Creek while providing more service, food and entertainment for residents nearby.
"It seemed like the greatest thing you could do is create this beautiful city park with land that (other developers) would have just left," Tannos said in a statement.
