Last Bite

For a decent portion of Houston area folks, next week means Spring Break week. Hopefully you have something lined up to keep the kids invested and excited, whether it's a camp, a family trip or a playground or three. And if you need tips on where to take the kids for some grub, here you go.

Here are some of the other stories you may have missed from us this week:

  • Our new-ish food reporter Chyna Blackmon is discovering Houston for the first time. Those discoveries took her to old favorite The Flat, which has coffee, pizza and lounge vibes.
  • A longtime Tex-Mex restaurant in Austin closed last week after 40 years of business. To mark the closing, the restaurant hosted some live music and had a "last dance."

If you're a parent experiencing Spring Break, good luck and godspeed.
