Feeling like a half-charged iPhone? Same, because honestly, why does it feel like January was about three years ago?
At this point in time, the city is in full let's-squeeze-in-one-more-restaurant-before-the-year-ends mode and we're not complaining.
This month really is your chance to try a few new restaurantsbefore we all go on a health kick.
If your camera roll, like mine, is 90 percent food pics and your calendar, also like mine, is 90 percent dinner plans, this month is basically our Olympics.
Dubai's dropping a few cool new openings, from sky-high supper clubs to tiny temaki counters and vibey Mexican hangouts, December is stacked with places worth making reservations at.
Tezukuri is the new Japanese temaki bar that comes from the team behind Kinoya. Expect tasty hand rolls passed over the counter, a hidden speakeasy bar and vinyl spinning late into the night.
If you're in the mood for something Latin American, make your way over to Cocina Tres. The sun-soaked coastal Mexican escape in Business Bayhas a menu that features handmade tortillas, wood-fire grilled dishes, tacos and artisanal drinks, making it feel like Mexico without any of the jet lag.
Oh, and it wouldn't be a new restaurant hit-list without mentioning the very hyped-up CARBONE, which brings classic New York Italian to Dubai in full tuxedo-waiter, red-sauce-glory style. Veal parm, linguine vongole and a dining room that's basically Instagram-approved.
And for something totally different, WOOHOO serves up Asian-inspired dishes with a side of sci-fi. The world's first AI chef teams up with Reif Othman to deliver a cyberpunk-meets-fine-dining vibe. I personally just want to see the hologram dancers.
Basically, your December plans are sorted. Book fast, eat well and enter 2026 like someone who absolutely did not cook this month.
