Cypress-Fairbanks ISD approves library policy to give trustees power over book challenges
Cy-Fair ISD's five-hour board of trustees meeting last week saw residents, parents and community members on edge as they voiced their concerns to the board regarding its new rules for book banning. The board approved a library policy to give trustees power over book challenges.
This comes after a May board meeting during which the board voted to remove content from state-approved textbooks involving vaccines, cultural diversity, climate change, depopulation and several other topics they considered controversial.
