Catch y'all later, alligators!

Goodbye, farewell, to you my friends... or however the theme song from 2001 PBS' "Out of the Box" goes.

Today is my last day with Houston Chronicle, making this my last newsletter. Don't worry, the newsletter will continue with the help of the suburbs team.

I'm leaving the Houston area to spend time with my parents in Corpus Christi ahead of my wedding next year, before moving to Minnesota to live with my future husband.

This was my first "big girl" job after college, and I have learned quite a bit about Pearland and its surrounding areas, especially how taxes work!

Thank you for welcoming me to Pearland with open arms and trusting me to tell your stories, and I hope my time here has provided you with insightful stories and news worthy of your time and energy. I will miss receiving emails from you, the readers, with story ideas and seeing you at city council meetings and community events.

You have made my time here feel worth it. Thanks for tuning in!
